Driving Smart - Driving Safe

In order to be enrolled in the class, you (the student) must purchase a Driver's Permit from the Kootenai County License Department (per Idaho State Law).  Let the DMV know you contacted Mr. Jones and are registered with Mr. Jones' Driving Academy.

Things you will need to take with you to apply for your permit:

• Verification of Compliance from attending school (pick up from school secretary)

• Original Birth Certificate

• Photo Identification (i.e. activity card, year book picture, passport)

• Social Security Number (card not required)

• Birth Parent must show photo ID (driver's license).  If last name is different than the student, documentation will be needed to explain the difference, i.e. divorce decree, marriage license, adoption papers.
